At Gorilla Hub Tours, we bring you closer to the magic of mountain gorillas with guided treks in East Africa. With over 8 years of experience, we’ve helped travelers explore some of the most stunning wildlife destinations, including Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and the Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Picture this: standing quietly in the forest as a family of gorillas moves around you, playing, resting, and interacting. It’s an intimate, unforgettable encounter that shows just how connected we are to the natural world.
Whether you’re interested in a short trek or a full day spent observing gorillas as they go about their lives, we offer flexible options to match your schedule and curiosity.
When you travel with us, you’re not just visiting—you’re helping protect these incredible animals and their homes. Part of what you pay supports conservation programs that ensure gorillas can thrive for years to come.
Ready to plan your trek? Let us help you create a meaningful, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
EXCELLENT Based on 23 reviews Tim H2023-04-01Verified Great experience Driver Kennedy was informative, safe and amazing. Absolutely no regrets. Thanks for a wonderful time. Rouri2022-12-12Verified Bad Experience I traveled with this company, and I leave the latest information and my feelings. Personally, I was very dissatisfied with it, so please refer to it if you are going to travel in the future.1. There was a car accident 30 minutes after the start of the trip. Our car driver hired by this company crashed the motorcycle from behind, and he blamed the motorcycle. He had a quarrel with a motorcyclist, and eventually, he paid 10,000UGX for him.2. About three days before the start of the trip, I got a call and that guy told me his boss asked him if he could take an intern with him. I thought there was no problem, and I wanted to make another local friend. But when we started traveling, she always sat in the most comfortable seat in the car, and when the driver was working (driving, exchanging money, guiding, paying for admission, etc.), she still sat in the car or slept. I thought it was a little strange because the intern didn't show a posture to learn the job. And then I happened to see them, and they were staying in the same room, holding hands. How these people are the relationship between the manager and the intern? It made me think so strongly that I would pay for another couple's trip together.3. The hotel was very different from the thing we got notified in advance. There was no electricity, no Wi-Fi, no data, and no hot water, and there were all kinds of bugs on the bed. I was supposed to work at a hotel in the evening, but I was completely cut off from civilization during the trip.4. He sees his work without discussing anything with us while traveling. If you don't ask us in advance, they didn't tell you anything. For example, they went to the market and buy potatoes, etc without letting us know. Stijn-ALY2022-10-02Verified Self drive for the win! The agency provided a jeep with rooftop tent with sleeping equipment and cooking gear. Drop-off and pick-up was right on time, and the crew was super friendly in showing us the tricks of the trade.Although the jeep had seen better years, it was still sturdy and we were thankful for its decent suspension on the rocky roads. Some might even consider the slow acceleration as a safety feature, to discourage you from mingling too much in the assertive traffic. The agency was investing in a new car park so by next season our Land Cruiser might already be enjoying retirement 😊The beauty of a self-drive trip is that we felt more connected to the country, taking back-alley streets, stopping on locations for pick-nicks and exploring parks on our own behalf. The slide-open roof was one of those premium features we used all the time for wildlife spotting in the parks! Mas932021-12-21Verified We had a blast Me and my wife had such an amazing experience touring queen Elizabeth national park and bwindi impenetrable forest. Kenny was our driver the entire time right from entebbe to western Uganda. Such a great person, knowledgeable and humble. We highly recommend him our trip was magical. JZ8912021-12-12Verified Great Experience! We’re traveling through east Africa and only have some limited time in Uganda. We opted to do a self drive tour renting our RAV4 from Gorilla Hub Tours. This turned out to be the best decision for our trip! Kenny is super nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He gave us so much great advice for the trip no matter how random our questions were. We highly recommend this company for all your trips in Uganda. Kenneth G2021-09-21Verified Kenny is the best driver and tour guide I am Kenneth from Sanford North Carolina USA me and my girlfriend traveled to Africa in August 2021 and I could not be happier with the tour that I chose with this company. My driver Kenny keep us laughing the end tower time. He was always friendly courteous on time and very very dependable. The gorilla tracking Was awesome a great experience. You will be very happy that you chose this company for your travels in Africa! Kenny you are the best my friend, Thank you for being so courteous and willing to help us with our adventure S S2021-08-30Verified Exploring Pearl of Africa with the BEST GUIDE EVER! In 2019, when we booked our travel to Uganda, we were hoping to see the coveted Mountain Gorillas and Chimps. But thanks to King our trip was much more than that. He is an incredible guide with vast knowledge not just about the routes, restaurants and places to visit but also about wildlife and history of the country. While on road, he kept us entertained with anecdotes about Uganda. Our safaris were incredible thanks to his knowledge about animals and the various routes in the National Park. He is also well connected with various guides and thanks to that we were able to see the tree climbing lions of Ishasha. It was dream come true. He insisted that we go on a swamp walk in Kibale and it turned out to an incredible experience as we got to see many different species of birds which we would have missed otherwise. The main attraction though was the five different species of monkeys that we saw up close. We wouldn't have known about this place if it wasn't for King. The best part about King Ken though is his personality. He is extremely friendly, patient and kind. He never rushed us and showed us every place very patiently even though we were getting late. Being vegetarians, his knowledge about good places to eat came in very handy for us. This was a huge plus for us. He is an incredible person and the trip was an amazing success for us thanks to him. So don't think twice before hiring him as your guide as he is one of the best out there. toby2021-07-22Verified Happy times cruising through Uganda We had an awesome time with our driver and guide from Gorilla Hub. Sarah B2021-07-22Verified Stunning experience We just came back from our second trip with Self-Drive 4x4 Uganda and it has been absolutely amazing! Thanks to Kenny we were able to see six tree-climbing lions chilling on a tree, to fall asleep next to hippos and to hike through the most magical forests. I will hire this service again in a heartbeat. Thank you for the wisdom shared, the safe driving and for unveiling this stunning country to us.
