Day 1 Arusha–Serengeti and nighttime wildlife drive
After you have your morning tea, our driver-guide will meet you at your Arusha hotel or at the airport and go over the day's schedule before transferring you to the Serengeti. Now we can begin the lengthy journey to Serengeti National Park, enjoying the scenery along the way as we pass through Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most beautiful parks in Africa.
Enjoy a leisurely lunch and some downtime after your late afternoon arrival at the park. Then, in the evening, embark on a short wildlife drive that will introduce you to the African wilderness.

Day 2 You will have a game drive in the morning before leaving for Arusha
Before setting out on your daylong game viewing adventure, you'll have an early breakfast at the lodge. Game drives in the morning offer a better chance of seeing a wide array of animals, including prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hippos, impalas, dik-dik, monkeys, baboons, gazelles, warthogs, and countless more.

When is the best time to go?
The dry seasons (June to August and December to February) are most popular because the trails are less muddy and hiking conditions are more comfortable. That said, gorilla trekking happens year-round, and the wet seasons offer their own advantages like fewer crowds, lush green landscapes, and sometimes lower accommodation rates.
What's included in your gorilla trekking package?
Gorilla Hub Tours complete packages include your gorilla permit, professional guide, park entrance fees, transportation to/from the trailhead, and pre-trek briefing. How much should I budget?
Here’s what you’re looking at: Uganda permits cost $700 per person, Rwanda permits are $1,500. Our complete 3-day packages start from $1,200 per person in Uganda and $2,200 in Rwanda, including accommodation and meals. Longer itineraries with multiple treks or additional activities range from $1,800-$4,500 per person depending on your preferences.
Can I book just the permit or do I need a full package?
While you can buy permits independently, we strongly recommend our packages! We handle all the logistics – permit procurement, accommodation bookings, transportation, and local expertise. Plus, we often secure better rates than booking everything separately. Solo permit purchases risk availability issues and much higher individual costs.
How far in advance should I book?

if possible! Permits sell out 6-12 months in advance, especially for peak seasons (June-August, December-February).
