Upon arrival, meet our tour guide. He or she will then drive you to your hotel after providing you with a briefing. Spend the night at one of these three excellent hotels: The Protea, The 2 Friends, or The Savannah Suites.
Your journey to L. Mburo National Park will begin with a pickup from your hotel. Along the way, you will have a brief stop at the equator to capture some photos. Continue with your journey and finally you will arrive at the park gate.
Check in, have lunch and take an afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo; you might see hippos, crocodiles, and birds of the water. After you get back to your resort, check in. Guests will spend the night at one of the lodges: Arcadia lodge.
A day will start with a cup of coffee, then a game drive, where you can see a variety of animals including zebras, elands, giraffes, buffalo, waterbucks, topis, and, if you are lucky, a leopard. Then, in the evening, you will make the trip to Bwindi National Park, which is farther south.
Spend the night in one of these four luxurious settings: Agandi Eco Lodge, the Bakiga Lodge, the Trekkers’ Tavern cottages, or Mahogany Springs.
Enjoy your breakfast and you will then be driven by our guide to the park head quarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations of trekking the gorillas. Your guide, a game ranger accompanied by a number of porters, will lead a group of eight trackers to the gorilla group that was mentioned in your permit. You will get an hour to observe and photograph the gorilla family once you encounter them, after, you will be dropped off at the lodge for lunch and rest. We can arrange for you to participate in a community stroll or other afternoon activities. Your lodge will serve dinner and overnight as planned.
Enjoy your coffee and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Before boarding a boat to sail the Kazinga channel in the afternoon, stop for lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge. This natural channel stretches for 32 kilometers (20 miles) and connects two lakes; to the east, Lake George, with an overall depth of 2.4 meters, and to the west, a 250 square kilometer section merges into Lake Edward, which is 2000 square kilometers.
A great variety of birds and mammals congregate along the Kazinga Channel’s shores. Hippos, elephants, buffalo, waterbucks, and other large creatures are anticipated. Birds of all kinds, including migratory and savanna species, flock to this waterway. Dinner and Accommodation at Katara Game Lodge or Enganzi Lodge (budget)
Gather early risers, such as the cats, at the Kasenyi track after your morning coffee so you can greet them as they return from their nighttime hunt. An early morning game drive through this region may enthral you with its abundance of wildlife. As you make your way to Kibale, you will stop at the scenic crater lakes of Ndali and Kasende.
As the sun goes down, you may take a stroll through the Bigodi wetland, a great place to see birds and primates. You can choose between four different types of accommodations: the budget-friendly Chimpanzee Guest House, the premium Turacco Tree Tops, the luxury Crater Safari Lodge, and the intermediate Papaya Lake Lodge.
Following an early morning Coffee, make your way to the park headquarters in Kanyanchu for a briefing. From there, you will go out to pursue the primate that is most closely related to humans. Get lunch at the lodge after your tracking adventure and spend the afternoon relaxing. It is possible to arrange a tour to Fort Portal Town by speaking with your guide. Dinner and overnight at same lodges as above.
Enjoy your breakfast and embark on your journey to Murchison Falls National Park via Masindi, a lengthy trip is planned for today. Recent upgrades to the Murram road have reduced the previously estimated travel time of 4–5 hours over the 361 km distance between Kibale Forest and Murchison Falls National Park. Beautiful and highly stunning views of the Western Rift Valley can be had along the gorgeous route that follows the banks of Lake Albert.
Kabalega Wilderness Lodge (luxury), Pakuba Lodge (deluxe/luxury), or Red Chilli Lodge (budget) could be your dinner and overnight destination.
To see some interesting animals up close, take a morning game drive up north in the park. Buffalo, Jackson’s hartebeest, topi, elephants, giraffes, and a plethora of other species, such as leopards, lions, and jackals, are all within your viewing range. Have lunch and take a boat ride in the afternoon to the base of the massive falls for some sightseeing and maybe even to spot some birds, crocodiles, or hippos. Same thing for dinner and bedtime as Day 8.
Make a pit stop at the falls’ vantage point on the way back to Kampala after breakfast. Guests who have opted for the rhino tracking option during their safari can visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary near Nakasongora.
Proceed directly to Entebbe International Airport to check in for your evening flight, as per your return flight itinerary, with the assistance of your tour guide.
