What To Expect

Day 1: Pick up at the airport and check into your hotel

Upon arrival, meet our tour guide. He or she will then drive you to your hotel after providing you with a briefing. Spend the night at one of these three excellent hotels: The Protea, The 2 Friends, or The Savannah Suites.

Day 2: Entebbe Tour

Explore Entebbe Botanical Gardens and the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre.
Optional visit to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

Day 3: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Enjoy your breakfast and drive to Murchison Falls National Park a journey that will take you over 5 to 6 hours.
Visit the top of Murchison Falls for stunning views. Enjoy your lunch and prepare for an Evening game drive or relaxation at your accommodation.

Diner and overnight at Pakuba safari lodge.

Day 4: Game Drive and Boat Safari

Enjoy your breakfast and drive to the park for your morning game drive in search of wildlife.
Enjoy your lunch and then an afternoon boat safari along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls.

Dinner and overnight at the same lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Enjoy your morning coffee and drive to Kibale Forest National Park.
Relax at your accommodation or take a guided nature walk.

Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee guest lodge.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Enjoy your morning tea and get to the park headquarters to be given the rules and regulations of tracking chimpanzees. Enter into the jungle and start searching for the chimpanzees. Once you come across them, you will be given a maximum time of over 1 hour to stay with these primates as you are having fun and taking photos.

Drive to the lodge for lunch and prepare for an afternoon Bigodi Swamp Walk for birdwatching and primate viewing.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

On this day rise up, enjoy your morning tea and embark on your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy your lunch at the lodge in the park and prepare for an evening game drive.

Dinner and overnight at Elephant Hub.

Day 8: Game Drive and Ishasha Sector

Enjoy your morning coffee and get to the park for your morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Transfer to the Ishasha Sector, known for tree-climbing lions.

On this day, enjoy your morning hours relaxing by the lodge as you see the animals at the lodge, from there drive to the ishasha sector after lunch for your afternoon game drive to spot the unique lions and other wildlife.

Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Elephant Hub.

Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Enjoy your breakfast and embark on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a park with the endangered mountain gorillas.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and then taken to your accommodation to check in. Relax at your accommodation or explore the nearby village.

Dinner and overnight at Rushaga Gorilla lodge.

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking

Rise up very early in the morning and enjoy your morning tea. From there, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations of trekking gorillas. You will be divided into groups of 8 who will enter into the jungle and start the trekking. Once you come across these apes, you will be given a maximum time of over 1 hour to stay with them having photos and fun. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and relax for the rest of your day.

Day 11: Optional Second Gorilla Trek or Nature Walk

On this day, you will rise up early, enjoy your breakfast and enjoy a nature walk. Have lunch at the lodge and go for the batwa community walk in the evening where you will an opportunity of meeting those people and talk about there ways of leaving, sow you what they do, dance for you and so many others. On this day, no trekking.

Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Rise up early, enjoy your morning tea and drive to Lake Bunyonyi known for its beautiful islands.
Relax by the lakeside and enjoy optional activities like canoeing or hiking.

Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Rock resort.

Day 13: Lake Bunyonyi Activities

Wake up, enjoy your break fast and spend the day exploring Lake Bunyonyi and its surrounding islands.
You have an option of enjoying the boat cruise and relaxing by the waters of the deep lake.
Additionally, you also have options of island hopping, visiting local communities, or simply relaxing by the lake.

Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Rock resort.

Day 14: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Rise up early, enjoy your morning coffee and embark on your drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Check in at Ichumbi kisoro lodge. Have a refreshment, enjoy your dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 15: Gorilla Trekking

Enjoy your early morning breakfast and then your driver will pick you up and transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations of trekking gorillas. Once you are done, you will be divided into groups of 8 who will enter into the jungle and start the trekking. Once you come across these primates, you will be given a maximum time of over one hour to stay with them as you are having fun and taking photos. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and then you can relax or go for batwa.

Dinner and overnight stay at the same lodge as above.

Optional activities such as golden monkey tracking or Batwa cultural experience.

Day 16: Departure from Entebbe

Enjoy your morning breakfast and drive back to Entebbe with stop overs for lunch and scenic viewpoints.
Depending on your departure time, you may have free time to explore Entebbe further before transferring to the airport for your flight home.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Gorilla trekking is a guided hike through Rwanda’s forests, such as Volcanoes National Park, to observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. It’s an incredible opportunity to see these endangered animals up close.

  • All gorilla trekking in Uganda happens in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in the western part of the country. It’s home to several gorilla families that can be visited by tourists.
