Highlights.
Upon arrival, you will be picked up by our guide from your hotel in Entebbe / Kampala and transferred to the beautiful Bwindi impenetrable national park with a stopover at the equator in kayabwe for photos and lunch en-route in Mbarara city. Proceed to Bwindi arriving late afternoon/evening. Check in into your lodging.
Dinner and Overnight: Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge

Rise up very early in the morning, enjoy your coffee and then you will be picked up by our guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing on the rules and regulations of trekking gorillas. You will then be divided into groups of 8 who will enter into the jungle and start the trekking. Once you come across these rare primates, you will be given a maximum time of over 1 hour with them as you are having fun and taking photos. Enjoy your lunch and then your driver will take you back to the hotel. You can relax for the rest of the day or decide to go for an evening batwa walk where you will get to know more about their ways of leaving.

Enjoy your breakfast and pack up your luggage to embark on your journey back to Kampala with an enroute lunch in Mbarara at igongo cultural center. Continue with your journey arriving Kampala in the afternoon. Proceed to Entebbe airport for your onward flight.
Gorilla trekking is a guided hike through Uganda’s forests, such as Bwindi and Mgahinga National Parks, to observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. It’s an incredible opportunity to see these endangered animals up close.
All gorilla trekking in Uganda happens in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in the western part of the country. It’s home to several gorilla families that can be visited by tourists.

Yes, a permit is required to trek and visit the gorillas. The Uganda Wildlife Authority issues these permits, and they currently cost $700 per person for a single trek.
