Day 1 Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national forest
Upon arrival, you will be picked up by our guide from your hotel in Entebbe / Kampala and transferred to the beautiful Bwindi impenetrable national park with a stopover at the equator in kayabwe for photos and lunch en-route in Mbarara city. Proceed to Bwindi arriving late afternoon/evening. Check in into your lodging.

Day 2 Gorilla Trekking
Rise up very early in the morning, enjoy your coffee and then you will be picked up by our guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing on the rules and regulations of trekking gorillas. You will then be divided into groups of 8 who will enter into the jungle and start the trekking. Once you come across these rare primates, you will be given a maximum time of over 1 hour with them as you are having fun and taking photos. Enjoy your lunch and then your driver will take you back to the hotel. You can relax for the rest of the day or decide to go for an evening batwa walk where you will get to know more about their ways of leaving.

Day 3 Kampala and departure
Enjoy your breakfast and pack up your luggage to embark on your journey back to Kampala with an enroute lunch in Mbarara at igongo cultural center. Continue with your journey arriving Kampala in the afternoon. Proceed to Entebbe airport for your onward flight.

The dry seasons (June to August and December to February) are most popular because the trails are less muddy and hiking conditions are more comfortable. That said, gorilla trekking happens year-round, and the wet seasons offer their own advantages like fewer crowds, lush green landscapes, and sometimes lower accommodation rates.

Here’s what you’re looking at: Uganda permits cost $700 per person, Rwanda permits are $1,500. Our complete 3-day packages start from $1,200 per person in Uganda and $2,200 in Rwanda, including accommodation and meals. Longer itineraries with multiple treks or additional activities range from $1,800-$4,500 per person depending on your preferences.
Can I book just the permit or do I need a full package?
While you can buy permits independently, we strongly recommend our packages! We handle all the logistics – permit procurement, accommodation bookings, transportation, and local expertise. Plus, we often secure better rates than booking everything separately. Solo permit purchases risk availability issues and much higher individual costs.
How far in advance should I book?
