You will be transferred to the headquarters office for a pre-gorilla tracking briefing at 8am after your breakfast. Make sure to bring your packed lunch and drinking water, as you will be spending long hours in search of these giants. Following the safety lecture, you will be guided into the forest by the rangers to search for the majestic mountain gorillas. You get to spend an hour watching the gorillas interact with each other, which is an exciting experience in and of itself. After that, if time permits, you can go on a community tour to learn about the local culture.

Go on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park after a hearty breakfast. The park is home to beautiful lakes, forests, savannah grasslands, and wetlands. We will make our way into the park through the Ishasha sector, which is well-known for its rare tree-climbing lions. If we’re fortunate, we may even see these majestic creatures up close. After that, we will continue to the northern part of the park to spend the night. Dinner and overnight at Enganzi lodge.
To get in the mood to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, get a cup of coffee. Embarking on a game drive along the Kasenyi paths, we will be on the lookout for a variety of animals, including lions, capybaras, elephants, warthogs, waterbucks, spotted hyenas, mangoose, kobos, and, with any luck, leopards. Over 606 bird species have been observed in this park and most notably in the Kazinga channel. Return for a lunch meal, unwind and prepare for yet another fascinating adventure in the afternoon. The Kazinga Channel will be yours for a memorable two-hour boat ride after lunch. You will have the incredible chance to observe the birds and animals up close on this launch voyage. Staying at the same place for both dinner and the night.
Rise up early in the morning, pack up your luggage and then enjoy your morning coffee. Your driver will pick you up and embark on your journey back to Kampala as you view the morning sunset in the park. Have a stop over in Mbarara for your lunch and then continue with your journey arriving in the evening at Entebbe for your flight back home.
Gorilla trekking is a guided hike through Uganda’s forests, such as Bwindi and Mgahinga National Parks, to observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. It’s an incredible opportunity to see these endangered animals up close.
