Experience the ultimate wildlife encounters in some of Uganda’s most renowned national parks on our 7-day gorilla safari. For a fantastic wildlife experience, visit Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and Kibale Forest. Kibale Forest National Park is the ideal spot for tracking primates such as chimpanzees and other primates including colobus, blue, l’hoest and so many others.
Among Uganda’s parks, Queen Elizabeth National Park receives the greatest foot traffic. Famous for its plentiful biodiversity, the park spans 1,978 square kilometers (764 square miles) and is home to 600 different bird species and 90 different mammal species. Among the many species of large mammals are chimpanzees, hippos, lions, leopards, buffalo, and elephants.

Take note that the travel to Bwindi from Entebbe or Kampala takes about 8 to 9 hours.
Dinner and overnight at Trekkers Tervan cottages
After breakfast at 6:30 in the morning, you can head to the national park headquarters to get a briefing from the rangers. Your transfer to the trailhead will begin at 8:00 in the morning. An armed park ranger and potters lead the trip; seeing the mountain gorillas could take anything from one to five hours due to their untamed nature and constant movement. At least one hour is allotted for guests to engage in interactions with the gorillas. Enjoy your lunch and in the evening you can go for a batwa community walk. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy your breakfast and embark on your journey to queen Elizabeth national park. The ishasha sector, located in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, is where you can see tree climbing lions. Proceed to Kazinga Channel at 14:00 hours in order to embark on a launch cruise at 16:00 hours. Numerous migratory bird species and aquatic creatures, including crocodiles, buffalo, monitor lizards, and hippos, can be seen along the shoreline.
As soon as you wake up at six in the morning, get breakfast on the table and hit the road for a game drive to the park’s northern sector where you will see a number of animals such as the lions, zebras, elephants, leopards and so many others. On your journey to Kibale Forest National Park, you might want to get a nice lunch at Ihamba Lodge. Kibale National Park is about a two- or three-hour drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Get a briefing from the park warden at the national park headquarters after breakfast at 7:00 am. Leave for the jungle at 8:30 in the morning to follow the guide’s lead in your quest to see the chimpanzees. You could have to wait anywhere from half an hour to three hours to see the apes. Picnics in the Bogodi swamp, which is home to a variety of bird species, can be arranged after lunch at the resort. Dinner and overnight.
It is possible to explore nearby communities and local projects, including KAFRED, after breakfast in the morning. These are located near the national park. Take a break and have lunch at the lodge before leaving the following day.
Enjoy your breakfast and Return to the airport in Entebbe for your flight home. This will mark the end of your safari.
